NYC TLC notice
For operators driving TLC-plated vehicles
New York City's Taxi & Limousine Commission licenses Interior Advertising Providers — the companies that put a screen in the back of a licensed vehicle and sell advertising on it, usually paying the driver a share. The rules were written for that business: a third-party tablet, a third-party ad, a revenue split.
Whether Attract Screen falls under that regime when it's running your own brand on your own mounted phone is an open question, and we haven't resolved it. We are not going to tell you the answer is obvious when we haven't had it confirmed.
Until we have:
- We don't market Attract Screen to NYC drivers.
- We don't represent that Attract Screen is licensed under the NYC TLC Interior Advertising Provider regime.
- If you drive a TLC-plated vehicle in New York, you're welcome to use the product — and you decide your own compliance posture. The TLC publishes its own rules, and a lawyer who knows them is the right person to read them with you.
You'll see this again during setup.
Onboarding asks whether you primarily operate in New York City. Answer yes and it shows a short version of this notice, links back to this page, and asks you to tick “I understand” before you continue. That tick is an acknowledgement you read it — not a permission and not an approval. Better to read it here than at the bottom of a setup step.

- NYC TLC rules — the Commission's own rule text, which is the only authority on this.
- Platform posture — a separate question from TLC licensing: what Uber and Lyft allow on a trip they arranged.
- Terms of Service — the agreement this notice sits under.
